Services range from simple proofreading to substantive editing. Unless instructed otherwise, I perform substantive editing, which includes the following:
- correcting for spelling, grammar, usage
- restructuring for logic, flow and standard journal manuscript style
- ensuring accuracy and consistency in content -- terms, numbers, figures and tables
- ensuring conformity to Instructions for Authors of journals, if requested
I use Microsoft Word tracking to edit manuscripts and include comments in the text.
